Alex Sosnowski's Baseball Recruiting Profile
Personal Statement
Ever since I was a young athlete, my father taught me that college is what happens after high school. I always knew I would play collegiate baseball, but I needed to work hard and separate myself from the competition. Every coach I have ever played for has told me that they wished they had a team full of players that worked and played as hard as me.
I am the ultimate team player that does whatever it takes to win, while leading by example and always encouraging and mentoring my teammates. I am very coachable, can play multiple positions, and will always be one of the hardest working players you will find. At the end of my Sophomore Varsity year, my coaches set me aside and expressed how they expected me to be a Team Captain the following year, even though I would only be a junior. I take pride in this opportunity and will not let them down.
In the classroom, I study hard and understand the importance of a high GPA. Since 8th Grade, I have volunteered countless hours through our local Assisteens Program, which is an auxiliary of the Assistance League of Orange. For the last two years, I have led the Operation School Bell Program, which is a national program and have been issued the Outstanding Award and an award for the most volunteer hours by any Assisteen member. (90 members).
My dream is to play at a Division 1 School where I can be part of a competitive program, have a wonderful college experience, and develop a solid foundation as an undergraduate student. My preference is to play in the SEC or ACC, but I am open to all options and want to find the right college match that will afford me the highest level of competition possible.
