American actress Ana Gasteyer is best known for her roles on Saturday Night Live and Suburgatory. Born in Washington D.C. in 1967, Gasteyer began her career as a teenager on the PBS show Powerhouse. She later became a member of the Los Angeles improv/sketch comedy group The Groundlings.
Gasteyer’s first acting role came in 1995 on an episode of Seinfeld. From 1996 to 2012, she was a cast member on Saturday Night Live where she played a variety of characters and impersonated numerous celebrities including Martha Stewart, Celine Dion, and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In addition to her work on SNL, Gasteyer has also had recurring roles on TV series such as Suburgatory and The Good Wife. In 2014, she released her debut studio album I’m Hip.
