Brandy Atuatasi's Women's Track Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

Brandy has set and re-set her high school's Shot Put all-time record, and broke records at invitationals, both as a Freshman and as a Sophomore.

Brandy first started throwing Shot Put and Discus following in her older sister's footsteps at the end of the 2017 club season.  Brandy participated in her first full season as a Freshman at West Hills High School. 

As a Freshman, Brandy became the CIF San Diego Section D2 Champion in both Shot Put and Discus, and the only athlete from her school qualifying to compete at CIF State Championships.

As a Sophomore, she continued to grow and PR, and was fortunate enough to win most local meets and invitationals in both Shot Put and Discus, and is the current overall San Diego Section Champion in Shot Put as a Sophomore.

Academically, Brandy has maintained "straight A" grades since elementary school, and is uniquely self-motivated in most every endeavor she engages in.

Brandy played rec and travel Softball for seven years, predominantly as Short Stop, Second Base and Catcher, her OC Batbusters - Mascarenas team winning the highest honors in girls softball, PGF Premier Nationals 12U in 2015.  

Brandy played Rugby, Volleyball and tennis for the first time in high school.  She played a season each of Football and Baseball.  She played AYSO then club Soccer for two years as goalkeeper.

As a high school Junior, Brandy is presently undecided which types of studies to pursue in college.
