Personal Statement

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of playing basketball during my college years. I started playing basketball at the age of six and have not stopped since. I am extremely determined and focused on accomplishing my goals I have set at such a young age. My father is an idol to me, he is my Michael Jordan. He played basketball in college. I believe his past and experience really influenced my passion to want to play after high school. All of my efforts and decisions since I started playing have been fixated on finding a program that challenges myself by the game as well as academically. I proud myself in the achievements I have grasped with my education and basketball throughout my growth.

I have committed my life to enhancing my skills, strength, speed, and my game as a whole. While others are sitting on the couch or watching a movie, I am getting an extra workout in. I dedicate my time to becoming a better player; physically as well as emotionally, and mentally. I personally understand that basketball is not only a sport that focuses on the physical aspects the player can apply to the game; but it also has a great focus on the passion someone has for the game, trust committed with a team, and the work-ethic needed to become a great competitor.

As a player I consider myself to have always been a leader no matter what team I am apart of. My uttermost determination, care for the game, and putting everything I have into my work; will take me places and fit in your program.
