Jayson Tatum took a hard foul from Caleb Martin in Saturday's Game 1 win over the Miami Heat, but the Boston Celtics star isn't reading too much into it, saying that it's just something that happens in high-stakes moments.

"Just understanding it's playoff basketball, a physical game, playing against a physical team, s--t's gonna happen," Tatum told reporters after the game, per NBC Sports Boston's Darren Hartwell. "It's not the last time I'm probably going to get hit like that or fouled in this series.

"I wasn't hurt. You get hit like that, you just get up. And I knew we were in the bonus, so go down there and knock my free throws down."

Tatum was unfazed by the foul, bouncing back up as soon as he hit the ground. A short scuffle broke out between the two teams—Tatum not included—and double technicals were assessed to Jaylen Brown and Martin.

Many believed the hard foul from Martin was intentional, which led to Brown and other members of Boston's team taking exception to it. NBC Sports Boston's Brian Scalabrine, a former Celtic, also viewed the foul as dirty.

"Erik Spoelstra called a timeout with a 1:30 left down by 16, 30 seconds later that play happens... that looked shady to me," Scalabrine said.

But with Tatum unaffected, he and the Celtics will look to put it behind them.

Boston dominated in Game 1, taking a 32-point lead into the final quarter. Miami rallied and trimmed the lead some in the fourth, but the Celtics held off the late push to win 114-94.

Tatum led the way for Boston with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, notching his first playoff triple-double. Five other Celtics were also in double figures.

After a convincing win in the first game of the best-of-seven series, Boston will remain in TD Garden for Game 2 where it will look to pick up some insurance against the team that ended its season a year ago.
