Personal Statement

“If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad” is a quote known from Denis Waitley. A quote that inspires me to be the best i am able to be.

I prefer to be a leader in ways more than voice. To be a leader in the classroom and on the field shows your true leadership – that’s why i try to excel in both areas.  I believe that actions prove more to the mind than words.  I believe in a team work ethic and that no team works alone. As the old saying goes "there is no I in team" and i try to live by that.

I believe that over the years as i have matured as a young man, i have become more willing to take on the role of a team player and have learned to put others before myself. I believe in hard work and dedication. however, That dedication can get you nowhere without a little pain and sweat.

I have dreams to make it to college and make the best of what I can. I will be the first person in my family to go to college, and want to prove myself academically as well as athletically.  I want to learn in ways that only college can teach. My course of action is to graduate from college with a degree and become more than i ever thought possible.  I look forward to broadening my horizons. My strategy is to succeed and carry my talents to the next level in any way i can. I want to succeed in life and college will help me learn more of life lessons.
