Personal Statement

Soccer is my passion.  I have been playing soccer since age 5 and enjoy the competitive nature of the game and the camaraderie of being part of a team.  My favorite position is defensive & attacking midfielder as I like being a facilitator and leader of the team.  I can also play all other positions (except goalie) and was the leading scorer of my high school varsity team (Sophomore & Junior Year), and received the Captain's Award in 2013.  I have been playing Club soccer for eight years, currently at the Gold level.

I am excited about college to further my studies and play soccer at the collegiate level.  I am open to new experiences, and therefore, am considering colleges throughout the United States.  My hobbies include travel, especially to countries where I can use my Spanish language skills.  Additional hobbies include weightlifting, snowboarding, hiking, and socializing with friends.  Also, I feel that it is important to give back to the community, so every year for the past 10 years, I have participated in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraising walks.
