CNN.com - Entertainment - Dido lends voice, face to Eminem's 'Stan'

(CNN) -- Dido and Eminem may seem like an odd pairing, but they've been making music together, and have visual proof. The potty-mouthed rapper has released a video that features the British chanteuse.
She plays the girlfriend in the video "Stan," a song about crazed fan obsession. Dr. Dre and Phillip Atwell helped direct the video, which came out this month.
Eminem sampled Dido's love song "Thank You" in the track. That tune is featured on the soundtrack to "Sliding Doors," Gwyneth Paltrow's 1998 movie.
"I got this letter of the blue one day," Dido told MTV. "It said, 'We like your album. We've used this track. Hope you don't mind, and hope you like it.'"
Lucky for him, and his lawyers, she found it "amazing."
Eminem and Dido went on to become good friends, her publicist says. Dido has even made a few guest appearances on Eminem's "Anger Management Tour" to sing backup when Eminem performs "Stan."
