Cooper Robertson's Men's Soccer Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

Growing up in a soccer household, my goal has always been to play soccer in college. Ever since making the decision to become a goalkeeper when I was 12, I have pushed myself to be the best I can be, working on getting better every chance I get. That work paid off in the summer of 2017 when I made the top team for club, something I had been working on since becoming a goalkeeper. As a player, I strive to get better, to learn from those who have more expierence than me, and overall improving my game whenever I get the chance. As a team mate, I'm a positive kid who always helps them get better, as well as getting to know them and their playing style. I always push them to be the best player they can be, because that helps the team as a whole. In the classroom, I am dedicated to getting studies done and staying on top of my academics. Being a student athlete, school work can be tough, but I prioritize school because academics are just as important as soccer. Overall, I am a humble and hardworking student, putting in work on the field as well as in the classroom. Soccer has been such a passion throughout my life, and I take every chance I get, whether it's with my dad, my teammates, or just myself, I find a way to improve my game. Every time I touch a ball I focus on getting a little bit better everyday, whether it's finally reaching that ball hit to the corner or coming out to catch a cross, every part of being a goalkeeper, and by improving every time I'm with the ball, I can eventually reach the goal of becoming the best goalkeeper that I can be.
