Niki Taylor family included her parents and two sisters Joelle Bolline and Krissy Taylor.
Niki was born as the second daughter of Ken Taylor and Barbara Taylor on March 5, 1975. Her father worked as a law enforcer for various government departments.
An FBI National Academy graduate, Ken started his career working for the Coral Gables Police Department in 1962. Two years later, he was hired by Florida Highway Patrol.
Taylor eventually left his job with the Coral Gables PD in 1965. Meanwhile, his tenure with the FHP lasted for nearly 27 years.
In 1995, Ken commenced a new job with the Broward Sheriff's Office. He worked there for 11 years before quitting in 2006. Niki's dad passed away in 2022.
On the other hand, Niki's mother is a former professional photographer. After her daughter Krissy's death due to heart failure, Barbara has been collaborating with the Cardiac Arrhythmias Research and Education Foundation to raise awareness about lesser-known heart conditions.
Besides Niki, Ken and Barbara also had two more daughters: Joelle Bolline and Krissy Taylor.
Joelle Bolline
Joelle is the elder sister of Niki. Born in 1971 in Florida, Joelle is four years older than her model sibling.
As per a Sun Sentinel report, Joelle was already a mother to two young kids in 1997. She also took care of Taylor day and night when she was in a coma.
Bolline currently works as an Office Manager for the West Palm Beach-based Total Property Control in Floria. At the same time, she has also been working at ABB Construction & Development in the same capacity.
According to her LinkedIn, Joelle attended Broward College in Weston, Florida, from 1988 to 1990. She has an associate's degree in Business Administration and Management.
Krissy Taylor
Krissy was born as the youngest child of the Taylor family on May 15, 1978. She was three years younger than Niki.
Krissy got inspired to pursue modeling by her elder sibling. She started accompanying Niki in her photoshoots. She made her debut as a model, appearing on the cover of Seventeen with Niki.
Taylor signed her first professional modeling contract with New York-based IMG Models. She got the opportunity to work alongside supermodels like Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell when she was only 13.
Krissy also worked with leading magazines, including Glamour, ELLE, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan. She appeared on 13 magazine covers during her career as a model. Her last shoot was for the Ocean Drive magazine cover alongside Niki in 1995.
Krissy was found unconscious at the parents' home in Florida on July 2, 1995. She was eventually pronounced dead after multiple failed attempts to revive her.
The authorities deemed an acute asthma attack as the cause of her death. However, her family was not convinced as she was never diagnosed with asthma.
The model's parents hired independent investigators to find the real reason for her death. The experts discovered the likely cause of Krissy's death as arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, a rare heart disease.
