Dalvin Cook Trade Rumors: Jets Willing to Move RB but 'Not Really Getting Any Calls' | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Dalvin Cook hasn't been with the New York Jets for very long.
And the four-time Pro Bowler may not be there much longer as the organization is willing to move the star running back, although it hasn't been receiving too many calls, according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington.
Cook signed a one-year contract worth up to $7 million dollars with the Jets shortly before the start of the regular season but hasn't been happy with his role thus far.
"Dalvin Cook has been very honest about the fact that he's been frustrated with his workload with the Jets," Darlington reported. "From what I'm told, the Jets are willing to listen and potentially move him."
Cook revealed Friday that he will speak to his agent and New York general manager Joe Douglas about the possibility of a trade. The former Minnesota Vikings star has just 39 carries for 109 yards and no touchdowns this season.
He has taken a back seat to young star Breece Hall, who's coming off an ACL tear but has flourished, rushing for 426 yards and two touchdowns this year.
It's not particularly surprising to see Cook not getting much traction in the trade market following this past offseason.
Cook was released by the Vikings back in June and then spent much of the summer without getting signed by a team before ultimately deciding to join the Jets' and their revamped offensive core during training camp.
Despite all of that, he's been one of the elite rushers in the league over the past few seasons, going for over 1,000 yards on the ground in each of the last four campaigns.
