The 2011 ESPN Body Issue provided us with yet another stunning example of the art form that is the human body, and they featured the best in stunning Team USA women's goalie Hope Solo and gymnast Alicia Sacramone.

Not only are these two women absolutely beautiful, but they are tremendous athletes.

That is the point of the Body Issue, I guess.

Of course ESPN is trying to push the sex appeal, but I think the deeper side of it is showing of the human body at its best.

Who better to show off than professional athletes? There were 22 athletes in all that were featured in the issue. That being said, some looked a lot better than others.

With that in mind, let's check out the five best pictures from the 2011 ESPN Body Issue:

5. Natasha Hastings

Hastings is known as one of the better track and field runners in the world. She is an Olympic medalist, and is a fascinating and beautiful woman, as I'm sure you can see here in this picture.

4. Gretchen Bleiler

Some people are under the misconception that snowboarders and any extreme-sport participants in general are not athletes. Take one look at Bleiler, and I believe she will prove you wrong.

3. Alicia Sacramone

I can barely imagine the athleticism and strength that it takes to pull this kind of move off, let alone look good doing it.

2. Belen Mozo

You may not have heard of Mozo, but I guarantee you she's on the radar, especially after this. Not only is she gorgeous, but she's a great golfer as well.

1. Hope Solo

The great American crush on Hope Solo continues on strong, and this picture will only serve to enhance the love for the American goalie. Seriously though, Solo is everywhere right now. She went from a soccer player to a sex symbol and ambassador of her sport almost overnight.
