Grant Thuer's Football Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

My name is Grant Thuer and I am a senior at Jersey Community High School.  I have played football since first grade and I have played varsity football since my sophomore year of high school.  My goal is to play college football and study marketing.   I can play multiple positions and I have played both sides of the ball for our team.  I have experience playing defensive end, linebacker, defensive tackle, fullback, running back, and long snapper at the varsity level.  I have continued to lift weights and stay conditioned during the off season.  I went from 215 pounds at the end of our last season to currently 232 pounds.  I have increased my max to 305 lb bench, 485 lb dead lift, and 410 lb squat.  I strive to be the best player I can be at all times and lead by example.  I love football because it is the ultimate team sport.  No other sport requires as much team effort.  I treat my coaches, teammates, trainers, and volunteer staff with respect.   I volunteer at our youth summer football camp every summer.  My favorite part is coaching the scrimmage and seeing the success of our team.   During the school year I spend 45 minutes weekly at West Elementary Grade School teaching students football drills and just getting them interested in the game.  I will work hard and continue to improve my game and academics at the collegiate level.
