How Polyamorous You Really Are, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Monogamy isn’t for everyone. For some, the idea of settling down with one person until the end of days isn’t exactly the picture of “happily ever after” – and that’s okay. There are many types of polyamorous relationships in our society, ranging from an “open” agreement to a relationship with three or four people involved.

And while there’s limited research at the moment about the concrete numbers of polyamory, the studies that do exist show that it’s a rising trend. One study conducted by sex researcher Zhana Vrangalova found that, of the general population of U.S. adults, approximately 12 million of them are currently engaging in consensual non-monogamy.

New data from the dating site OpenMinded shows the breakdown of polyamorous individuals by their zodiac sign. OpenMinded is a site that aims to offer “a safe and stigma-free environment that brings the ease and flexibility of online dating to the currently under-served world of open and alternative relationships.” The site is free to its users, and offers the option to create a single profile, or a profile as a couple.

OpenMinded analyzed the birthdays of its 192,235 members to find out which zodiac sign is the most polyamorous. The results showed that Capricorns make up the largest portion of the site’s population, coming in at 19249 members. Interestingly enough, Capricorns are notorious for being fiercely independent. On the flipside, Sagittarius rounded out the bottom of the list – a sign that is known for being extremely faithful once in love.

Based on their findings, here’s a ranking of how polyamorous each zodiac sign is, ranging from most to least.
