Personal Statement
I live my life by the way my parents have taught me. My goal in college is to prepare myself for the future. Academics is my priority in achieving this goal, but I know that football can have a huge impact on my future when meshed together with academics. To understand what type of football player I am, please see the letter of recommendation from my coach below:

It is a pleasure to have been asked to write on behalf of Jackson Boehlke. I've had the privilege of being Jackson's position coach for the past four years. Over those years Jackson has not only grown as a football player, but also as a leader and student of the game. I give my full recommendation for Jackson to continue playing football at the collegiate level.
Jackson Boehlke is a hard worker who will put in extra hours in the weight room and film room to excel at the next level. Jackson dedicated himself to the weight room while becoming a physical and explosive athlete. He was an outstanding leader for our defense and specifically the secondary. Jackson was quick to help younger players during drills and team time. He always gave 100% in every drill and was the first player out to get the drill started. Whether it was a footwork drill during warm-ups or a tacking drill, Jackson played every play like it was his last.
As a senior Jackson's hard work and commitment earned him 1st Team All-Conference and All-County as a strong safety. He was athletic enough to cover slot receivers one-on-one while being physical enough to shift up as an extra linebacker when needed. Jackson's dedication in the film room and attention to detail made him the leader of our secondary and was often times relied on to make coverage calls and adjustments.
In short, Jackson Boehlke has earned a reputation as a hard-working, trustworthy individual who strives to excel. It's been an honor to coach him over the past couple seasons and I feel strongly that your football program will benefit from Jackson's hard work, dedication and talents.
