Jaxon Keller's Men's Soccer Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

My first coach, Vince Bateman, was very influential to my soccer career.   He stayed with me after practice many times and helped me to master the fundamentals and give me tips on how to juggle.   My uncle was also very influential because he played soccer in college and I look up to him.  I started playing soccer when I was 9 years old, after I decided to take a break from wrestling and football.  I had never played, or thought about playing, soccer before, but I wanted to try something new.  From playing soccer, I learned to set goals and stay focused on them.   It's very easy to get distracted, but I learned that if I stay focused, determined, and persistent, I can accomplish my goals.

I take academics very seriously. I want to attend a college that offers premed because I want to become a pediatrician.   My goal is to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA while playing soccer in college.   I have been, and will continue, taking AP and Honor's classes in high school to prepare me for college level classes.  I am currently studying and preparing to take the ACT and hope to score around a 30; I hope to score around 1300 on the SAT. Through my determination in both academics and athletics,  I have developed a hard work-ethic and I have learned how to sacrifice.   I know that I have the ability to positively impact any program through the strong leadership skills I have developed, both as captain of the high school soccer team and President of the Sophomore Class National Honor's Society at Hillcrest High School.
