Personal Statement

My name is Jessica Johnson, I am 17 years old and I graduate in 2020. The love I have for volleyball is out of this world. Volleyball is my true passion and I play with my heart and soul on the court.  I have played indoor volleyball for 5 years and beach volleyball for 3 years. I play indoor for Epic Volleyball Club. I am a defensive specialist and opposite. I am very coach-able and hard working, and I love to learn and get stronger. I have strong leadership skills, and I know how to keep my team very energized and positive.  While playing as a defensive specialist is my strongest skill,  I am an all-around player, and I am always willing to play any position I am assigned to.  I am very competitive and always making sure I stay hungry on the court.  My mental toughness and good attitude is a strength of mine that is appreciated by coaches

My biggest goal is to play volleyball at the college level and achieve a degree in business in order to go on with a career. I am a very competitive, out going,  and positive player.  I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me academically, athletically, and where I can make an impact on the team.
