The UK government is interviewing for a “very experienced leader” to become a top official at the proposed new football regulator which suggests the laws to create the body will be announced in next week’s King’s Speech. The job advert for the interim chief operating officer of the Independent Football Regulator, listed internally on a civil service website and seen by The Athletic, will pay between £95,000 ($115,000) and £128,900 ($156,000) per year.
