Kate Walsh’s engagement news has left fans astonished. 

During an Instagram Live video with her co-star from Private Practice, Amy Brenneman, Kate Walsh alluded to her fiancé, Andrew Nixon.

During a Wednesday Instagram Live, the Grey’s Anatomy actress unwittingly disclosed her own relationship milestone.

On October 5, Walsh and Amy Brenneman went live on the social networking site to mark the 15th anniversary of the Private Practice series’ debut.

Walsh and her Private Practice co-star Amy Brenneman, 54, were conversing on Instagram when Walsh’s boyfriend, Andrew Nixon, appeared on the screen. 

Walsh presented Nixon as her fiancé during the social media talk with fellow Private Practice alumna Amy Brenneman, calling him ‘here comes the jungle cat.’

Brenneman said to Nixon, ‘She just outed your engagement 100 percent.’

‘I did,’ Walsh acknowledged. ‘I just revealed our engagement,’ Nixon said, to which he replied, ‘Aww.’

Walsh’s diamond engagement ring was seen on Instagram Live as she and Walsh enjoyed a toast. Later, she uploaded a picture of the drink to her Instagram Story.

Little is known, Regarding Walsh’s friendship with Nixon. Her Fiance’s Instagram account is private.

Apart from that, Kate has also not uploaded any pictures of her Fiance on her Instagram. 

The couple has a proven track record of maintaining privacy in their personal life and relationship. 

Walsh has a habit of never sharing anything about their relationship on social media, and Nixon keeps his Instagram account private.

Andrew Nixon, whose family has cultivated malt barley and canola in Australia for many years, is Walsh’s fiancé.

According to Forbes, the couple, who apparently met in 2020 while on a cruise, have been associated and now reside in Perth, Australia.

The Umbrella Academy actor and Nixon, whom she allegedly met on a cruise, were rumored to be dating in February 2021.

Walsh told the Daily Telegraph in August 2020 that she became stranded away from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The 13 Reasons Why alum stated at the time, ‘I didn’t really want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic when it was fairly awful, to say the least.’

‘I initially couldn’t go home, and now that I can, I don’t much enjoy returning. I constantly get warnings to avoid going home from my own mother, who is 86 years old. Right now, we are having a lot of problems!’

Congratulations were extended to Miss Walsh twice since the actress is slated to return to the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy in addition to learning of her beautiful engagement.

There are many exciting developments in Walsh’s life. She is back in Grey’s Anatomy season 19 as Dr. Addison Montgomery.

She was even welcomed back by The Grey’s Instagram page, which posted a picture of Walsh dressed as her character with the message, ‘You requested, we listened! This season of #GreysAnatomy will see the return of the legendary and recognizable @katewalsh.’

Walsh previously wed producer Alex Young in September 2007. The former couple separated the following year, and in February 2010, their divorce was granted.

Walsh has chosen not to post photos of Nixon on Instagram, keeping her present relationship a secret.
