Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Kenneth Clayton from Riverside, California. I am a 6'5" forward that attends Martin Luther King Jr. High School. Currently I am playing Travel ball with the club team OC Pride coached by Mike Moore.  I am now in  my senior year and this would’ve been my  third year of varsity basketball. This year, I was looking to lead my team to win the league and make a deep run into CIF playoffs. I would like to make a personal achievement of earning first team all- league. Away from the court, I am an honor roll student with a 4.33 GPA. I am also involved in the school through ASB. ASB stands for Associative Student Body and it is an on campus student government. What I offer as a player is my flexibility and diversity on the court. I am able to play and guard multiple positions on the court. I pride myself on being a team player but also being to become a leader when the team needs it.

I am striving to attend a college where I can be challenged both on and off the court. Right now I am looking into a major of sports management, but I am still open to make other future career paths. The environment of a school is extremely important for me. I want to feel welcomed into the school with open arms. A school with a larger population and located on the west coast is a desire for me.
