Experience

As a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Kristen loves a good workout and has tested nearly every activewear brand under the sun. Her running shoe collection is so vast, she had to build a giant shoebox to house them all. She's a self-described wellness guinea pig who will try any wellness trend in the name of science at least once — and then give you her honest opinion about it. She's also constantly testing the latest in skincare, from microcurrent devices to hyaluronic acids, and has strong feelings about her favorite Vitamin C serums. She's extremely proud of the fact that a 25-year-old recently thought they were the same age.

Before Dotdash Meredith, Kristen worked for a Chicago wellness start-up, leading their content strategy and communications. She previously worked in-house at Newell Rubbermaid as a copywriter for the Contigo brand, and she built a strong foundation in SEO as a content writer for a boutique digital marketing agency.

Education

Kristen received a Master's in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. She also received a Bachelor's in Writing, Rhetoric, Communications and Psychology from Transylvania University, Lexington, KY.
