Personal Statement

My name is Leah Barnes and I am part of the class of 2019 at Fontbonne Academy in Milton, Massachusetts.  

I currently play for Mass Drifters 18U Gold1.  My coaches, both, in high school and my club team, tell me I am the “energy of the infield”.  I pride myself to be that stand-out player who continuously encourages my teammates.  I am always there for my coaches to play wherever they need me.  I primarily play short stop but I can play anywhere!  It is my goal to push myself both academically and athletically in hopes of being recruited to play softball in college some day.  

Some of my best accomplishments to date are:

•Appointed Varsity Captain both Junior and Senior Year

•Catholic Conference All Star

•Varsity MVP, as Sophmore and Junior

•Named National Society of High School Scholars

•Departing 8th Grade, I was awarded “Heart of the School”
