Midwest: Iowa 9, Nebraska 3

Both teams scored two in the first before Iowa added another pair in the third on a two-out rally. A walk, a hit-by-pitch, a single and then a two-run hit with the bases loaded did the job.

Iowa kept it going with two-out rallies in the fifth. A hit-by-pitch, two singles, a walk, another hit-by-pitch and a walk led to three more runs.

An RBI single and a run off a wild pitch closed the Iowa scoring in the sixth.

Mid-Atlantic: Delaware 12, Maryland 6

Delaware's bats kept the pressure on all game en route to 15 hits and eight walks in the 12-6 win.

The victors scored in each of the first five innings, including three in the first, four in the second and a pair in the third and fifth. Delaware scored its four second-inning runs on a pair of groundouts with the bases loaded plus a two-RBI single.

Credit to Maryland for hanging tough after falling behind 9-2 early. A three-run rally in the third, including a two-run homer, kept them alive.

However, Delaware largely shut down the Maryland offense in the final three frames to advances to the regional semis.

Southwest: Texas East 5, Louisiana 3

Texas East is moving onto the Little League World Series after a gutsy 5-3 win over a tough Louisiana squad.

This back-and-forth game started with Louisiana scoring a run in the bottom of the third on a fielder's choice, but Texas East stormed back with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth.

Texas East then got a two-out rally going in the fifth thanks to a single and two straight doubles for a 4-1 edge.

Undeterred, Louisiana scored two on an outfield error to make it a 4-3 game. They had runners on second and third with two outs, but a strikeout ended the threat.

Texas East added an insurance run off a sacrifice fly, leading to a tense bottom half of the sixth. An out, a walk, another out and another walk put the winning run at the dish, but a strikeout ended the game.

Louisiana notably advanced to this round after posting a six-run, sixth-inning rally against Oklahoma in an 8-7 win. However, it was Texas East who emerged as the victor on this day to win a tough regional.

Great Lakes: Ohio 8, Kentucky 5

Ohio scored eight runs across the third and fourth innings and held on late to advance to the Great Lakes regional final.

Kentucky got on the board first with a pair of runs in the opening frame after a two-run homer. Ohio responded with three in the third off an RBI single and a two-RBI double.

Ohio then broke it open in the fourth after the first five runners got on off a walk, three singles and a double. Another walk and a two-RBI single led to an 8-2 advantage.

Kentucky wouldn't go away, though, thanks to three runs in the fourth. The team even got the tying run at the dish down 8-4 with the bases loaded, and a single made it 8-5. However, a runner was thrown out on the same play, ending the inning.

Kentucky had the tying run on deck in the sixth with two out, but the game briefly paused due to a lightning delay. When the teams returned, a strikeout ended the game, and Ohio earned a spot in the title game against Illinois.

Mountain: Nevada 6, Utah 3

Multiple-run innings in the fourth and fifth frames pushed Nevada to a win over Utah and clinch a spot in the Mountain regional final.

Utah had a 2-1 lead after the first inning thanks to a two-run double from Jake Tomlinson. After both teams were held scoreless for the next two innings, Nevada broke through in the top of the fourth on JoJo Dixon's two-run homer.

David Edwards extended Nevada's lead in the fifth with a two-run triple. He later scored on a wild pitch to extend the margin to 6-2. Utah did get a run back in the bottom of the fifth on a wild pitch.

Logan Levasseur, who pitched the final 3.2 innings, struck out the side in the sixth to end the game.

Southeast: Tennessee 4, Florida 1

Nolensville, Tennessee is back in the Little League World Series for the third consecutive year after a 4-1 win over Florida.

Tennessee got the scoring started on an RBI single from Grayson May in the top of the second. Florida responded in the bottom of the inning with an RBI double off the bat of Joey Saraniero.

May put Tennessee ahead for good in the third inning with a two-run single. He also scored the team's final run in the top of the sixth. The left-hander took the mound and shut down Florida's lineup. He pitched a complete game, allowing five hits with five strikeouts on 86 pitches.

Tennessee closed regional play with four consecutive wins after a 6-2 loss to Georgia on Aug. 5. It outscored its opponents 23-4 during this stretch.

Nolensville advanced to the United States Championship Game at the 2022 Little League World Series before losing to Hawaii. The team will look to get over the hump at Williamsport when this year's tournament begins on Aug. 16.
