Personal Statement
Hi my name is Logan McPherson. I currently play indoor and beach for Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, CA. As an indoor player, I am a 6 rotation OH, and received 2nd team Coast Conference North Division honors in the fall of 2023. Prior to that, I played volleyball at Hope Christian High School and for the Albuquerque Rebels Volleyball Club in Albuquerque, NM. My club team was ranked #1 in our region for several years and made it to Nationals 4 times. My 14's year we earned 11th place in the National division. We earned 7th place in Open at Colorado Crossroads and my team was awarded Top 4 Most Inspirational Adidas Sponsored Teams in 2020.
I am interested in playing at the next level after my time at MPC. I am working on updating my video, but in the meantime, my highlights can be seen at Logan McPherson - Hudl.
My previous club coach has described me as very athletic and a "go-getter". He further describes me as a player who has good court awareness, has a good knowledge of the game, and wants to get better.
When I am not doing something volleyball related, I enjoy the beach, camping, hanging out with my friends, and going to youth group. I grew up in a Christian home and these past couple years I have found my own faith. Having Jesus in my life changes the way I view everything. The way I look at it is that God has given me the gift of playing volleyball. So even though I am playing for my team, ultimately, I am playing for Him. I think that I have the ability to uplift others, not only in volleyball, but also in life in general.
