Lunar New Year Celebrations metro Atlanta 2024

ATLANTA — Festivities will be in full force this weekend to celebrate the Lunar New Year across metro Atlanta. 

Check out where you can ring in the Year of the Dragon.

Atlantic Station will honor the Lunar New Year on Saturday with a festival full of traditions including the Lion Dance. There will also be Kung Fu and Tai Chi performances, crafts and a numerologist -- who can make predictions based on your birthdate.

There will also be festivities in the City of Chamblee this weekend -- with dancing, cultural performances, interactive workshops and delicious Asian cuisines. Click here for the full schedule.

Johns Creek is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a Taste of Asia. The event is known as the Spring Festival in East Asia and kicks off the beginning of a new year. There will be a variety of food trucks, vendors, and performances, including DJ Chika Takai, an official DJ of the Atlanta Hawks. For the full schedule, click here.

Additionally, festivities at Stone Mountain Park have ramped up this year with thousands of lights, lanterns, and kites. There will also be traditional, kid-friendly crafts and games, multicultural performances, demonstrations and Asian food trucks. 

Stone Mountain officials said there will be a longer parade this year with brand new floats and a new club K-Pop with backlights and a live DJ. 

To top off the celebrations, the park will have its special Lunar New Year Drone and Light Show.
