Maria and Albert was NEVER going to happen so stop being so naive – First Dates! Wed 22 May 2019 15:48 Liam Curtis
Fans of First Dates have become used to heartbreak over the years.
The dreaded final montage piece at the end of every Channel 4 episode explains whether it was made or break for the couples who seemingly fell in love over a staged 60-minute episode.
However, episode 8 (Tuesday, May 21st) felt like a screwdriver jammed to the left kidneys as Albert and Maria’s date turned out to be nothing more than a dud.
Well, derr – it was never going to work out!

What happened between Albert and Maria?
The date had supposedly bobbed along smoothly, with 23-year-old Albert and Maria giggling their way through their three-course meal.
Plenty of sexual innuendoes complimented the starter while deep conversations added to a heart-warming second and thrid course.
Albert, a builder from Essex, even opened up about his harsh upbringing as a child where his parents were drugs addicts.
Oh Albert 🥰 bless ya #FirstDates

The perfect date?
In perfect harmony, the date was sealed with a kiss.
The pair even agreed to a second date and vanished into the night holding hands and gearing up for another round of drinks.
Who could guess what happened next…
Opinion: It was never going to work
While some viewers called it from the start, others seemed like they were simply watching in naivety.
While you should never judge a book by its cover, even waitresses CiCi and Laura called out “definite bad boy” as Albert entered the First Dates restaurant.
Minute by minute, as the pages of this book started to flicker open, it was clear that the towering hunk of pretty-boy muscle on screen was a ladies’ man.
I wouldn't be surprised if Albert has applied for love Island

Albert cooed the perfect chat up lines and dropped the soppy one-liners as if it was another night out on the town picking up girls.
His story on looking for a girl to “settle down with and have kids” may well be true, but how many 23-year-old’s put that notion into practice when they’re built with the looks that will give them the pick of ladies throughout 20s.
Albert just wanted to be on tv. Knobhead. Girls fall for this 🤦🏼♀️ #FirstDates

Fans on Twitter wept as it became evident that this Al was a smooth-talking player, although the team at Reality Titbit had called it from the moment he opened his mouth.
Never judge a book by its cover… but its blurb will probably do.
Albert didn’t wanna take it any further #firstdates
