Mark Chastain – Missing Oklahoma Men Shot Dead And Dismembered

Mark Chastain, 32; Billy Chastain, 30; Mike Sparks, 32; and Alex Stevens, 29, were recently reported to go missing. 

The Okmulgee police confirmed that Joe Kennedy, the owner of two scrap yards, has gone missing. 

It was reported that the four men that went missing last week were last seen visiting Kennedy’s scrap yard. 

When those men were officially reported to be missing, search operations were held. 

Several areas were checked, but the last sight of those men was Kennedy’s scrap yard. 

When the area was investigated, it turned out that Joe Kennedy had gone missing from his place.

It was observed after a week, on Monday, that the four men’s bodies were found in the river. When the search team arrived, the moment was disturbing as the bodies were found in pieces.

Some remains have also been reported by the police to be missing and might have drawn further in the river. 

On 17th October 2022, Tuesday, the police did a press conference to discuss the details of the case. 

As mentioned by the chief officer, the four Oklahoma men that went missing last year have been found. 

He added that Joe Kennedy is their primary suspect in the case. Officer Prentice also said that the bodies were found on Monday and taken to the medical team. 

As per the report shared by the forensics, it is verified that these were the bodies of the missing four men. 

He also admired the work of forensics as the bodies were dismembered and ruined, making it impossible to identify who they were. The police said the bodies suffered gunshots and were dismembered before they were thrown into the river. 

Further in the press conference, Prentice reported that they found a witness. The witness claimed that the four men invited him to join them. 

The police believed that the four men were planning to commit a crime. However, the police chief stated that the witness claimed: the four men were planning to leave the house and go ‘hit a lick’ big enough for all of them.

The police were searching for them the whole place. The investigation was prolonged for the entire day, and later they found a lead of them in a local salvage yard. 

They were able to quicken the investigation because Mark Chastain’s wife had been tracking her husband’s location. His last location was a gas station nearby the salvage yard. 

Chastain’s phone was found in the second scrapyard, where police believed “brutal events had occurred,” causing the death of four men. The place was further investigated, and the owner was confirmed to be Joe Kennedy.   

Police said they had to run an investigation to search for the owner as they were unsure whether he was the killer or innocent. They also suspect him of having suicidal thoughts. 

Prentice said, “I don’t have any evidence that Mr. Kennedy is a threat to anyone else, but I would use caution. If anyone sees Mr. Kennedy, please call the local authorities.“

BuzzFeed News reported that the police had located Kennedy’s vehicle, but they couldn’t find Kennedy. 

The police had alerted the nearby police stations to initiate a search operation for Joe Kennedy. 

If he is the killer, he might be a danger to the citizens. If not, he may require help before experiencing suicidal thoughts.
