Matthew Morgan's Men's Tennis Recruiting Profile
Personal Statement
I strive to become better. I have always dreamed of playing with a college team. I've always wanted to have consistent training with others who share the same passion I do for the game of tennis. I grew up in a town where there are no serious players to play with. Yet I made the best out of what I had.
I am a leader. I became a leader by choice. At a young age I learned there has to be a leader in every situation and I learned to take that role early on. That choice has led me to becoming the Student Body president at my high school and also captain of the tennis team since my Sophomore year.
I am a goal setter. I set goals and take the steps necessary to achieve them. Whether the goal be in my tennis career, academics, or personal life. I apply my goal setting principles in everything I do. No matter how many times I lose. I lose to learn, and learn to win. I stay true to that statement and have learned to embrace every loss in my life and to learn from it.
Currently in my high school career I have focused on one thing. Enjoy my teenage years. I decided to enjoy my years of high school while it lasted before I moved on to the adult life. As high school is coming to an end. The adult life is beginning to start. I am excited to move on to my adult life and gain an education that goes toward my desired profession. My profession will provide for my future wife and family. My future wife and family is very important to me and is my motivation to succeed.
