Personal Statement

Playing Club and High School Soccer year-round is my passion. I am an excellent student and athlete, balancing an advanced course load in school, Class President and Student Body President responsibilities, Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout), Boys State Delegate (Party nominee for Governor), and caring for my 90 year old grandmother, while playing three sports (soccer, football/golf, indoor track). These experiences helped me grow as a community volunteer, good citizen, caretaker, leader, and an exceptional student-athlete.

During my freshman year, I endured an ankle injury and broken finger back-to-back from Club Soccer, and had to watch for a few games while the backup goalkeeper played and did well. This was difficult, but it showed me the value of being a good teammate and putting the team above myself. I wanted to be out there playing, but was happy for the team’s success. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. My goal is to finish high school with a GPA of 4.0+ while maximizing AP Courses to prepare me for a college course load at a top college. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a three-sport athlete, community volunteer, Class President, Student Council Association President, and Eagle Scout, I know that I have what it takes to be a great teammate and leader in your program!
