Legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson provided a positive update on his health Tuesday following a medical emergency Sunday.

Tyson took to X to tell fans he feels "100 percent," while also taking a shot at Jake Paul, who he is scheduled to face in a boxing match on July 20:

Now feeling 100% even though I don't need to be to beat Jake Paul.

According to Katherine Schaffstall of In Touch Weekly, a witness said Tyson had "some kind of medical emergency" while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday.

Paramedics reportedly got on the plane to treat Tyson after it landed, and his representatives later released a statement noting that Tyson suffered from an "ulcer flare-up" that caused him to become "nauseous and dizzy."

Tyson's reps also said the former world heavyweight champion was "appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him."

The 57-year-old Tyson is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, but he has not competed in an official boxing match since 2005.

However, Tyson has had a couple of exhibition fights since then with the most recent and notable one being an eight-round split draw against fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

In Paul, Tyson will face a boxer who is 30 years his junior, although he is far less experienced in the art of pugilism.

Paul, who first gained fame as a YouTuber and actor, made his pro boxing debut in 2020, beating fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib by technical knockout.

He has now had 10 pro bouts overall, going 9-1 with six wins by way of knockout. Many of his victories have come against former UFC stars, including Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

His only loss to date was a split-decision defeat against Tommy Fury, who is the younger brother of former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.

Paul has beaten pro boxers in each of his past two fights, but their experience and success pale in comparison to Tyson.

The fact that Tyson is far older and hasn't had a legitimate fight in years levels the playing field, but he still promises to be Paul's toughest test to date.

Tyson vs. Paul will take place at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20, and it will stream live on Netflix.
