New Below Deck Captain often confused for celeb he has lots in common with Thu 1 February 2024 02:59 Helen Williams

Below Deck season 11 is ready to set sail on February 5 but fans are already “sad” over a looming change to the show. Captain Kerry Titheradge is taking over following Captain Lee Rosbach’s departure and many fear the series “won’t be the same.”

The all-new Bravo season is coming with some changes to its cast. However, Fraser Olender is one returning crew member to the St David. As well as many new bosuns, stewards, and deckhands, there’s still a lot to get to know about Below Deck‘s new El Capitano.

Meet Below Deck’s Captain Kerry Titheradge

Below Deck fans may recognize Captain Kerry from his time on Below Deck Adventure two years ago.

Now, he’s trading in the Nordic Fjords for the seas of Grenada in the all-new season 11 episodes.

Captain Kerry was born in Brisbane, Australia, and has spent most of his life traveling.

He’s got 20 years of yachting industry experience under his belt and is good friends with many other Below Deck stars including Captain Sandy Yawn and Captain Jason Chambers.

Below Deck star’s family

Much like his friend, Captain Jason, Captain Kerry is a father and is separated from the mother of his kids.

Captain Kerry is the father of a teenage son who he does jiu-jitsu with and a daughter, writes Bravo.

Speaking of his family life, Kerry explained to Bravo the first thing he does when he has downtime off the boat is video call his kids and partner.

He said: “First on my list is to video chat with my kids and Gönül, and of course our husky Benny!”

The Bravo star loves dogs and rescues huskies – something which is clear to see from his Instagram posts.

Captain gets mistaken for Bravo star

According to Bravo, Below Deck Captains Kerry and Glenn have a close bond.

The two are so alike they reportedly often get mistaken for one another.

Speaking of their time at BravoCon, Kerry explained: “We have so much fun together. Like, when we were at BravoCon, you arrive in different cars. When I arrive, I get out of the car, and I hear this person yell out, ‘We love you Captain Glenn!'”

He joked he’s like “Glenn’s stunt-double,” and added “We get on so well. He’s Canadian, I’m Australian. We’re so similar, except Canadians speak funny.”

Judging by his IG posts, the two often hang out at various events, and it looks like Sandy is good pals with them, too.
