NFL Rumors: Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes 'Fine' After Ankle Injury Scare vs. Bears | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Kansas City Chiefs fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was hobbling in the second half of the Chiefs 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears Sunday and was removed from the game.

This move always appeared to be due to the lopsided score and Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk confirmed that this was true and that Mahomes had not suffered any sort of injury.
Mahomes was excellent Sunday, going 24-of-33 for 272 yards and three touchdowns before being removed. The Chiefs improved to 2-1 on the season and appear to be as formidable as every going forward.
Still, an injury to Mahomes would have flipped that script significantly. The two-time MVP has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl appearances and two titles in his six season career and the offense does not operate the same without him.
Additionally, backup Blaine Gabbert had a rough go in his limited action, going 3-of-5 for 31 yards with two interceptions.
Thankfully for the Chiefs, Mahomes will be ready to go and the team will look to improving to 3-1. This opportunity will come against a reeling New York Jets team without Aaron Rodgers.
