Patrick Rafferty Obituary, Native Of Tinley Park, Illinois, HAs PAssed Away, Funeral Arrangements

Patrick Rafferty Obituary, Death – Patrick J. Rafferty, a 59-year-old resident of the Tinley/Orland Park area, passed away on November 22, 2023. Thomas and Bridget Rafferty, who had already died away, welcomed him into the world in Chicago. Beloved brother of Joann Reed (and her husband Dave), Tom Rafferty (and his wife Kathy), Billy Rafferty, Jim Rafferty (and his wife Shelley), and David Rafferty (and his wife Gina); devoted father of Sarah, Patrick Jr., and Katie Rafferty; proud papa of Landon and Zoey; and cherished uncle to a large number of nieces and nephews.

Apart from earning his high school diploma from Victor J. Andrew, Patrick pursued further education throughout his over forty years of employment at Palos Hospital. He was a loyal staff member and a great friend to many. A proud father and grandfather who delighted in spending every moment with his family and taking great satisfaction in providing for them.

Pat loved to fish, and he went many times with his family and friends in the Wisconsin and Ozarks. Along with his other interests, he also enjoyed traveling with his wife and exploring a wide range of craft breweries as a hobby. Furthermore, he was well-known for being an avid sports lover. He loved sports, and you could always find him watching his favorite teams—the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Hawks, and the Chicago White Sox.

Pat was a kind and unselfish person who prioritized the needs of others before his own desires. Many people loved him, and they will all miss him. Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, will be the site of a visitation on Wednesday, November 29, from three to eight o’clock in the evening. There will be a chapel service the next day, but only close family members and close friends are invited.
