1982

Born June 21, 1982, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis is blessed with his mother Diana's good looks and his father Charles's path to the throne.

1983

Not unexpectedly, William had a tight bond with his mother Diana, who died in a car accident in 1997.

1984

The 2-year-old prince had a good reason to look a little shy at his birthday party: photographers were present!

1986

The 4-year-old future member of the Royal Air Force showed an early fondness for serving his country.

1988

Off to the races! Looking older than his six years, Prince William enjoyed some go-carting in London.

1990

Just before his ninth birthday, the young prince took in a polo match, a sport he'd later grow up and play.

1995

At 13, William entered Eton College, where the royal family worked hard to let the boy lead a normal life.

1997

Now 16, the young prince graduated from cute kid to handsome heir.

2000

After graduating Eton, William took a gap year before starting classes at St Andrews University in Scotland-where he would meet his future princess Kate Middleton!

2003

The prince attended a special service to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the coronation at Westminster Abbey.

2005

The 23-year-old attended the selection process for the British Army. (He made the cut!)

2007

A hero in the making, Prince William soon began courses at the Royal Air Force to learn how to fly.

2008

He may be a member of the Royal Air Force, but princely duties still call. William helped open a new media center in Wales.

2010

After seven years of dating, William and Kate announced they plan to marry. The prince proposed with his mother Diana's 18-carat sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

2011

On April 29, Prince William weds Catherine Middleton, and the couple is crowned the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

2011

He may be married, but we can still admire a man in uniform! The prince takes part in helicopter training in Canada during a 12-day visit to North America with wife Kate in tow.

2012

As part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration, the Duke and Duchess visit Guadalcanal Island in the Solomon Islands.

2013

The prince is now a father-to-be! He and Kate are expecting their first child in July.

2014

Prince William is now a doting dad to adorable son, George.

2015

At the age of 32, Prince William welcomes his second child, Princess Charlotte of Wales, into the world.

2016

The dashing prince looks no worse for wear after a year of parenting his adorable but "feisty" daughter, Princess Charlotte.

2017

Prince William looked dapper, albeit with a little less hair, the same year the couple announced they're expecting their third child.

2018

The royal bit the bullet and shaved his head in 2018.
