Spencer Slishman's Wrestling Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

"Most coachable wrestler ever, "Hardest worker on the mat", "This kid's got the whole package"; this is how my coaches have described me  these past five years since I started my wrestling career! My record has dramatically improved every year that I've wrestled and it shows no signs of peaking, it just keeps getting better as I master new techniques and build my body to deliver the results I want to achieve.  I wrestle to win; I expect to win!

My high school record to date is 130 career wins, State Placer in 2010, State Champion in 2011, Sectional Champion 2011, Class A Champ in 2012, NEISWA Runner Up 2012, and National Prep All American in 2012!

I am a solid student as a repeating junior at NMH with a GPA of 3.49 and climbing; I was a National Honor Student when I completed my junior year at Scituate High School, a public school in Massachusetts. I consistently have taken challenging courses at either the honors or AP level; even when transitioning to prep school, I rolled Physics and Calculus into my curriculum! I've logged over 100 hours in community service, served as a mentor to under class men, mentored kid's with disabilities, taught youth sailing, assisted in coaching youth wrestling, have been selected as my dorm Resident Leader when I return as a senior, and I am actively a Big Brother in Greenfield, MA.

I want to study at the highest level, compete at the highest level, be a contributor on a dedicated team, and be part of a dynamic student community.
