Warp Cells in No Man’s Sky

Most of the time, you’ll have to craft these fuel cells. It’s quite a bit of work, but they’re the only thing standing between you and the stars. However, sometimes you’ll get lucky and find them out in the wild, or get them as a gift. Here are some of the ways we’ve obtained them:

Monolith Rewards – Some of the planets you visit will have giant monoliths on them. When you interact with the stone slab, you’ll need to solve a riddle. The more alien words you know, the easier it gets. When you choose the right solution, you’ll get a couple of items – warp cells are one of the possible rewards.

Atlas Stations – Simply visiting these orbital stations will grant you free warp cells. Make sure you stop at every one you see.

Sentient Aliens – Talking to all the aliens you meet is important (whether they’re on foot or in a ship). They’re sometimes interested in trading, and on rare occasions might even offer you fuel for free, if you’re in good enough standing with the faction.

Atlas Pass Locked Chests – While exploring the plantes you discover, you’ll happen upon locked chests that can be opened with the Atlas Pass. They sometimes contain fuel or items used to craft it.

Antimatter in No Man’s Sky

Antimatter is the key ingredient of warp cells. Using one piece of antimatter and 100 pieces of Thamium will give you a single fuel cell. Antimatter’s terribly expensive – around 50k units, though the price varies between traders. You’ll need a lot of it, so it’s best to explore the entire system thoroughly before departing. This way, you won’t have to return and you’ll get more resources.

If you want to craft it, you’ll need:

Electron Vapour x1

Zinc x20

Heridium x50

Electron Vapour is also an item that needs to be crafted most of the time. To get it, you’ll have to combine:

Suspension Fluid x1

Plutonium x100

Suspension Fluid is much cheaper (around 20k), and the rest of the ingredients can be mined and gathered on planets.
