KTVB viewers have been left worried about their favourite weatherman after he returned from vacation, but what actually happened to Larry Gebert?
Popular weatherman and TV personality Larry Gebert returned to work yesterday, but a storm quickly developed on social media.
It appeared that Gebert was suffering from some type of rash or skin wound, but seemed unfazed during his segments.

In response to the @governorlittle mask challenge a viewer @dholexa suggested I get a mask with a mustache. I couldn’t really find one, so I made my own. However I think it came out rather creepy and weird.

What happened to Larry Gebert’s face?
- The marks on Larry Gebert’s face are from a chemical treatment he has recently received for a mild form of skin cancer.
The meteorologist took to Twitter to explain the situation yesterday, revealing that it was a 5-day treatment he received whilst on vacation.
It is unknown what type of skin cancer Gebert suffered from, nor how it was caused, but Gebert himself is now a double-cancer survivor, beating Prostate Cancer in 2014.
KTVB viewers may have been worried about their favourite weatherman but thankfully he is well on the way to a full recovery, saying “I am doing quite well but I will be pealing for a few more days.”
