William Crader's Baseball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

My name is William Crader, and I am a senior at Jserra Catholic high school.  I am 5 ft. 10 inches, weigh 160 pounds, and have been playing baseball since I was four years old. I am a left-handed pitcher with a strong change-up, fastball, and curveball.  These skills in particular lead to a great season my junior year, and resulted in my earning of the CY Young award.  As an off speed pitcher I am crafty and will get outs by hitting my spots, and getting players to roll over.  Baseball has been the one constant place where I can lose myself in hard work and determination regardless of life’s surprises.  I have great work ethic and will lay it all on the field in practices and games. My whole life has been about baseball and I get great satisfaction from achieving the goals that I have set. My first goal was to make the all-star team during my 12-year-old year.  After this achievement my goal was to play competitively for my high school. Now, going into my senior year as a varsity player my goal is to continue to excel in baseball, by minimizing my flaws, and getting stronger, and faster as well.  This plan of attack coupled with my innate determination will effectively prepare me for my ultimate goal of playing competitive college baseball. I would love to do this for my mom, who has always been by my side, encouraging me throughout my baseball career to work hard and achieve my dreams.   I am willing to play my heart out for any team that is willing to provide an opportunity to excel and to succeed.
