Bailey Williams's Women's Ice Hockey Recruiting Profile
Personal Statement
My name is Bailey Williams, I have been playing hockey since I was 4 and I have loved it since. I always put in 100% of my best and try very hard at everything I do. I do not do drugs, get in trouble, or drink. I like to put myself around good people and in good environments. I also like helping people and young kids for example, learning to skate to how to do a math problem. My GPA is at a 3.27 and I also play the Cello.
On the ice I am smart, I read the ice very well and I am relentless. I can be an offensive and a defensive defenseman. I'm strong on my skates and fast so I can catch up to mostly everyone, I also have fantastic edges. I have a 74 mph slapshot at waist wind up and my snapshot is quick and hard. On the ice I am very aggressive and take the body a lot. I also love blocking shots and pinning people to the boards so my other players can take the puck.
I have lettered in both hockey and softball my freshman year. I love the game of hockey and it has done so much for my mental toughness and my body strength. When I was young I was bullied but, hockey got me to believe I was amazing in my own way and that I can do anything on the ice I set my mind to. As a seventh grader(AGE 12) I was chosen to move up to U-14, I was then asked to tryout for the U-19 high school team because they did not have the numbers to form a team and I was chosen to play on it. I played Bantam A boys as an eighth grader and was a starter and assistant captain. As a freshman I was on Varsity and was a starting defenseman with a senior. I played with a U-14 Tier II National Team, The Blackcats, and we made it to Nationals and took 2nd in 2017. The next year that same team moved up to the U-16 level and went to nationals but got 6th place. I have played on a U14 Minnesota Elite tournament team, The Mavericks U14, The Mustangs U19, and I made the U14 Central Districts camp in Green Bay. I played for U19 Wisconsin Selects during the fall and spring of 2018-2019 and again this year the fall and spring of 2019-2020. Off the hockey topic I am a starter at third base on my varsity softball team.
