Monica Garcia joined The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City for one seriously drama-filled debut season. The 40-year-old’s tense relationship with her mother and the unveiling of her Reality Von Tease account were just two of many surprising Monica moments. It’s no wonder the Utah resident had some nerves heading into the season 4 reunion.

This February, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Monica sat down with Dorinda Medley on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked show. The two talked following the fall-out of some of Monica’s “unhinged” moments and established where she’s at after being placed on a “cooling-off period” from RHOSLC.

Monica Garcia ‘not prepared’ for Real Housewives Reunion

During the Reality Checked interview, Dorinda asked Monica if she felt “prepared” going into the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion.

She explained: “I was not prepared, Dorinda. I was not prepared.”

The Bravo star added how she doesn’t think people “understand the pressure of walking into the room, and knowing all eyes are on you.”

Monica continued: “Angie said it, ‘Nobody wants you here’, I had to walk into that situation knowing it was going to be a bloodbath. I will say that I am so grateful that I was next to Andy…”

She was glad to be sat next to “someone objective” during the season 4 reunion.

Dorinda relates to reunion nerves

Although Dorinda comes across as a super confident Housewife within the franchise, it turns out she had some serious nerves heading into her first RHONY get-together.

The Real Housewives of New York City star explained: “On my first reunion I was so scared I cried, I broke out in hives. So, people don’t realize what pressure that is… I was always [sat] in the middle.”

Dorinda joined the show for season 7 appearing alongside Sonja Morgan, Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, and co.

Monica is in a ‘cooling-off period’

Over the years, some Real Housewives have experienced being temporarily axed from their shows, including Tamra Judge, and Dorinda Medley.

Dorinda is standing by being “put on pause” although many people have suggested she was “fired” from her RHONY role.

Now, Monica is in a “cooling-off period” from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The star aired her thoughts on the status during Reality Checked this February.

Monica said she “doesn’t know” what the phrase “means,” but deduced overall it must “logically” mean “the other women need time to cool down, I need time to cool down, production needs time to cool down.”
