Dr Pimple Popper removes Leonardo’s ‘custard-filled’ 43-year-old head cyst Sun 21 January 2024 17:00 Kiesha Dosanjh

Everyone knows Dr Pimple Popper loves a good food analogy, and she’s at it again as she removes Leonardo’s ‘custard-filled’ head cyst, that he’s had for 43 years!

The TLC show has provided ourselves, and Dr Pimple Popper with hours full of entertainment, so let’s take it back to one of our faves, Leonardo’s huge head cyst.

Dr Pimple Popper takes a look at Leonardo’s 43-year-old head cyst

Leonardo has a large bump on the back of his head, which first arrived when he was around 12 years old, 43 years. It started off the size of a penny, but has tremendously grown in size, as he calls it a “stress ball”.

“It’s squishy, but hard at the same time,” he says. However, unlike a stress ball, it doesn’t relieve stress. In fact, it gives him even more.

Leonardo takes a visit to Dr Pimple Popper’s office, and tells her he has difficulty sleeping, and even leaning his head. Like many other patients, he’s ‘terrified’ of doctors.

Upon further inspection, Dr Sandra Lee discovers it’s a pillar cyst, more specifically, a proliferating pillar cyst. “One that has little bumps to it,” she explains.

They’re more of a challenge to remove than regular pilar cysts, but of course, that doesn’t stop Dr Lee, who is ready to go ahead with the removal.

The doctor starts by making an incision in the middle of the nervous patient’s cyst. She then begins cutting around the ‘cute’ cyst, which is now fully exposed.

After lots of cutting and snipping, Dr Lee removes the ‘big red ball’ which fits perfectly into the palm of her hand.

She then places it down on to a metal plate, and Leonardo is overwhelmed with the results when he takes a look in the mirror, saying his “whole life is going to change.”

The curious patient goes to touch the huge cyst which has been removed from his head, saying it looks like a “gross little brain”.

Sandra then cuts the cyst open, which contains a whole load of yellow substance, which looks just like ‘custard’. Nice!
