Jones shined in the team's season-opening win over the Philadelphia Eagles, catching nine passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

He posted those numbers despite missing some snaps after picking up some scratches from the turf on both his arm and leg. Quinn stated there's no reason to believe the lingering soreness is a real concern at this point, per Ledbetter.

"We were laughing during the game," Quinn said. "[Jones said,] 'I'm going with [Rule 2], no excuses.' He's a battler."

Jones is a vital member of the Falcons offense. His role has steadily increased since Atlanta drafted him sixth overall in the 2011 draft. He took over the No. 1 receiver role from Roddy White and established himself as one of the league's most dangerous weapons.

His only extended absence because of injury came during the 2013 campaign. He appeared in just five games before his season was cut short by foot surgery. Otherwise, he hasn't missed more than three regular-season contests in any year.
