“Whether I choose to do that, not do that, or only do it for the movie, that doesn’t shape my identity. It won’t lower my value. I suppose it varies from person to person. Just stay tuned for the movie,” she commented.

Additionally, she expressed her desire for others to honor her privacy and personal boundaries, and she hoped that no one would record her without her permission.

Kathryn Bernardo’s co-star in A Very Good Girl, Dolly de Leon, defended the actress amid the online backlash.

She clarified that Kathryn was just practising for a scene in the film where her character vapes.

“She has to practice using a vape because she doesn’t know how to use it. But if she’s indeed vaping and drinking, it’s okay because she’s at the right age. She’s at the legal age,” 

Dolly de Leon said. The actress also highlighted that Kathryn Bernardo is a responsible people who knows her limits.
