Michael Gandolfini, son of the late actor James Gandolfini, is an American actor who debuted on the HBO drama series “The Deuce.” With a net worth of $15 million, Michael recently played a younger version of his father’s iconic role as mobster Tony Soprano in the film “The Many Saints of Newark,” a prequel to “The Sopranos.”
Early Life and Family
Michael Gandolfini was born on May 10, 1999 to James Gandolfini and Marcy Wudarski. He is of Italian ancestry on his father’s side.
As a child, Gandolfini enjoyed performing, but his father discouraged him from pursuing acting, preferring that he focus on sports or directing.
Tragically, while in Rome with his family in June of 2013, Gandolfini discovered his father unconscious on the bathroom floor of their hotel. James Gandolfini was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from a heart attack.

Two months after Liliana’s birth, James signed a will that left 20% of his estate to both Liliana and Deborah. Michael also inherited all of his father’s clothing and jewelry and received 50% of a property in Manhattan and land in Italy, with Liliana receiving the other 50%. James set aside $500,000 for each of his two nieces and $100-200,000 for a half dozen friends.

After the passing of his father, Gandolfini decided to pursue an acting career. He attended New York University and went to several auditions. Eventually, he was cast as Joey Dwyer in the HBO drama series “The Deuce,” appearing in ten episodes from 2018 to 2019. The show focused on the rise of the New York City porn industry in the 70s and featured an ensemble cast including Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Chris Bauer, Dominique Fishback, and Gary Carr.
