Michael Gandolfini Net Worth - Pulptastic
What is Michael Gandolfini’s Net Worth?
Michael Gandolfini, son of the late actor James Gandolfini, is an American actor who debuted on the HBO drama series “The Deuce.” With a net worth of $15 million, Michael recently played a younger version of his father’s iconic role as mobster Tony Soprano in the film “The Many Saints of Newark,” a prequel to “The Sopranos.”
Early Life and Family
Michael Gandolfini was born on May 10, 1999 to James Gandolfini and Marcy Wudarski. He is of Italian ancestry on his father’s side.
As a child, Gandolfini enjoyed performing, but his father discouraged him from pursuing acting, preferring that he focus on sports or directing.
Tragically, while in Rome with his family in June of 2013, Gandolfini discovered his father unconscious on the bathroom floor of their hotel. James Gandolfini was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from a heart attack.
James Gandolfini’s Complex Will
At the time of his death, James Gandolfini’s net worth was $70 million, with roughly half set aside to pay taxes. He left behind his second wife, Deborah Lin, and two children: 13-year-old Michael from his first marriage and 8-month-old Liliana from his marriage to Deborah.
Two months after Liliana’s birth, James signed a will that left 20% of his estate to both Liliana and Deborah. The remaining 60% was divided equally amongst his two sisters, with no share for Michael. However, James had made “other provisions” for Michael, starting with a $7 million life insurance trust fund created during his 2002 divorce from Marcella Wudarski.
Michael also inherited all of his father’s clothing and jewelry and received 50% of a property in Manhattan and land in Italy, with Liliana receiving the other 50%. James hoped that his children would continue to own the property and keep it in the family as long as possible. Michael also had the right of first refusal on the Manhattan property.
James set aside $500,000 for each of his two nieces and $100-200,000 for a half dozen friends.

The show focused on the rise of the New York City porn industry in the 70s and featured an ensemble cast including Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Chris Bauer, Dominique Fishback, and Gary Carr.
