MotoGP`s Marc Marquez Wins Sixth Consecutive Win at COTA
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Repsol Honda MotoGP rider Marc Marquez further exhibited his dominance by winning his sixth consecutive race since 2013 at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas on Sunday, April 22.
Furthermore, fellow Spaniard and championship contender Maverick Vinales from Movistar Yamaha finished second ahead of Suzuki Ecstar’s Andrea Iannone, and Valentino Rossi finished a lonely fourth position.
Marc Marquez’s win at COTA places him second at the overall championship with 45 points behind close rival from Ducati Corse, Andrea Dovizioso who finished fifth but leads the championship with 46 points.
British rider Cal Crutchlow was forced to give away his lead in the championship points after he fell halfway through the race but managed to rejoin the race and finished outside in 19th position. Crutchlow is currently fourth in the MotoGP standings with 38 points.
