She has worked with well-known celebrities such as Hugh Jackman, Tina Fey, Toni Braxton, Fantasia, and Gladys Knight. The Broadway singer and actress has also performed for prominent figures such as Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, and Hilary Clinton.

Carmen has received a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for the AUDELCO Awards.

Floyd was passionate about music from a young age as her mother Alice Gayles Floyd is a member of The Gayles Family Singers, they traveled around the country and performed original gospel songs.

Floys's father Robert Floyd Jr is a former basketball player who played in the American Basketball Association.

Bernard and Carmen exchanged their wedding vows in the year 2007. The couple has been in matrimony for 15 years. After nine years of marriage, the couple welcomed their first child a son named Jacob in 2016. 

Jacob Calloway is six years old and he celebrates his birthday on September 21.
