Personal Statement

My name is Murilo Moreno. I am 16 years old and a Junior at Staples High School in Westport, CT. My family is originally from Brazil, where I started playing soccer when I was five years old. Since then I never stopped playing for schools and clubs. During the last 11 years, I had the opportunity to play for a club in Italy for 4 years, where we lived from 2012 to 2016. After that we moved to US and I played for a club in California (Lamorinda Soccer Club Academy) for 2 years, before moving to Connecticut in 2018. 

This year, I continue to
play for the Staples high school varsity team and for
a
club
(Inter FC)
as well. I like to consider myself a playmaking, fast paced attacking midfielder. I try to be a leader to my teammates and piers on and off the field. I value my academics just as much if not more than soccer, and I will be one of the most hardworking recruits you will find.
