The Nadine Coyle age scandal mocks her even after two decades.

Nadine Coyle, who rose to fame as a member of the band Girls Aloud, revealed that she is still mocked for a Popstars drama that took place 20 years ago.

During the Popstars: The Rivals reality show in 2002, Nadine lied about her age and claimed to have lost her passport, causing a stir among fans.

Before her appearance on the ITV show, Nadine participated in the Irish version of Popstars in 2001, where she claimed to be 18, despite being only 16 at the time.

However, her lie was exposed when she revealed her actual date of birth on camera, leading to her removal from the show.

In an attempt to prove her age and continue in the competition, Nadine pretended to search for her passport, even calling her mother to look for it.

However, she eventually admitted to lying about her age. Nadine, now 37, recently revealed that she could not escape the incident, even two decades later.

During a recent performance in Belfast, a fan threw a real passport at her, reminding her of the Popstars drama.

Despite this success, Nadine still feels uneasy whenever the word “passport” is mentioned, and the incident haunts her.

Nadine Coyle is all set to perform in Dubai

Nadine Coyle, a former British girl group Girls Aloud member, will perform in Dubai next month for a special St. Patrick’s Day event.

The event, which is part of the popular Bongo’s Bingo series, is set to take place on March 17.

The Zero Gravity Dubai event organizers said they invited the Irish pop star to perform as part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

“Now look, it wouldn’t be a St Patrick’s Day special if we didn’t invite one of our Irish mates over to perform for us would it? That’s why we’re bringing along the queen of Ireland and former Girls Aloud star, Nadine Coyle.”

The 37-year-old singer has a number of gigs lined up over the next year, including a special performance at Manchester’s A0 Arena as part of the 90s Baby: The Pop Edition event on Saturday, October 28.

Coyle is also known for her solo music career, having released her album Insatiable in 2010 and an EP with Virgin EMI Records in 2018. Her most recent singles include “Fool For Love” and “All That I Know,” produced by Xenomania.

In 2022, Coyle ruled out a Girls Aloud comeback without her bandmate Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer in September 2021. However, in July of the same year, Coyle reunited with Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts for a tribute performance to their late friend to raise money for Cancer Research.

Coyle expressed her satisfaction with the reunion, saying that Harding would have wanted it and even wished she could have been there to help raise money. However, the group has no plans to continue performing as a band without Harding.

Coyle stated that it would not be the same without Harding, and continuing as a band without her would feel wrong. Nonetheless, Coyle’s upcoming performance in Dubai is an exciting opportunity for her fans to see her perform live.
