Ryan Wilkerson's Football Recruiting Profile
Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Wilkerson, jersey #8. I will be a 2021 graduate from Elysian Fields High School in East Texas. I have been playing football since I was five years old. As a Sophomore, I was the starting varsity quarterback for the Yellow Jackets 2018 season and was also quarterback this past season during my Junior year. I have always been heavily involved in sports. I was starting short stop my freshman year on the varsity baseball team, played varsity basketball, and ran track.
On the field, I have always been pegged as a leader. For the football season 2018, I received All-District Newcomer of the Year and was awarded All-State Punter for football. This past season I was awarded 1st Team All-District Quarterback 2019. I lettered my freshman year in varsity baseball and received second-team all-district honors at that time. For Sophomore year in baseball I earned 1st Team All-District Shortstop.
I am looking forward to my future and the exciting opportunities that may be presented. I am always working to improve my skills. My ultimate goal is being recruited to play sports in college. With an opportunity so grand, it will enable me to be molded into a stronger leader being more consistent to help my team be more successful. I want to be the best player I can, all while getting an excellent education. I am a team leader who leads by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and a hard-working player. I am one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and work to improve my GPA. I also volunteer at our yearly football youth camps, serve as Vice-President of our class, and am currently a member of FCA.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
