Wade Hughes – Metropolitan Funeral

Wade Hughes was born on August 28, 1957, to the union of Mary and Bill in Cleveland, Ohio. Wade was a proud Navy serviceman. He earned the titles of 1st Degree Mechanic and System Organization Maintenance Technician. While serving our country in the Navy for over twenty years, Wade earned the following decorations, Sea Service Deployment Ribbons (3), National Defense Service Medal for period ending ’97 June 26, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist. Wade also earned a Bachelors in Computer Science at St. Leo University. Wade and his family moved to Chesapeake into their beautiful home in 1993. Wade was a devoted father and loved spending time with his granddaughter. Their favorite activity was swimming in the pool. Wade’s hobbies included football, music, basketball, fishing and aviation. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Bill; daughter, Tiffany; siblings, Beverly and Wayne (twin); and nephew, Jason. Wade is survived by his wife, Catherine; daughter, Tonya; Sarquis (son in law); granddaughter, Sienna; brothers, Don, David and Joey; nephews, Darren, Damon and Martellis; nieces, Alisha and Shalya; cousins, other family members and friends. Wade will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
